marine fish VS. freshwater fish?

ok so most people know any beauty and which one is cooler a marine fish wins for sure. but what is a good freshwater fish that could be like really cool, and much cooler than most salt water fish. so far i can only think of is male betta, black veil angel fish, silver arowana, black moores, fahaka puffer,

Rope fish
chichlids (oscars, electic blue and yellow chichlids)

all though i named quit a few, its hard to find even one species that can compare to the looks of marine fish, so if u can think of one i just want to know.

African Malawi cichlids, there are many varieties and the colors are fantastic. There are brilliant blues, striking yellows, gorgeous oranges. They are really entertaining and quite hardy. Mine would dig tunnels in their gravel and rearange the tank decor it was really funny.
