Why does my subwoofer cable split with 2 ends?
I got a sub cable. I noticed that 1 end of the cable is single and the other one splits in 2, however, with the same thickness of wire. How do I hook this up? So far, the single end is connected to the sub out and the other end is connected to the sub-in with the other one dangling. Is this correct? Why two ends?
The single end should be coming out of your receiver's sub-output. The Y-Split end should plug into the L/R inputs on your sub. If by chance your sub only has a mono/LFE input, then you only need to connect one of the ends of the Y-split and your sub will perform fine.
