cleaning ivory cameo?
My mother recently gave me my great grandmothers cameo brooch. It's carved out of real ivory. It's pretty dirty. I'm worried about cleaning it. Would taking a soft bristle tooth brush with water hurt it? Does anyone know?
it has brown parts. I've rubbed some off with my shirt but there is still dirt in between the carvings. Usually I'd grab a toothbrush but I'm nervous about it...
