How do you wear engagement ring if it's too big?
Do jewelry stores give one of those plastic things to help it fit better temporarily before it gets sized? How does a newly engaged woman wear the ring if it's too big right after they get engaged? Please help

When my fiance proposed it was much too big for my ring finger but I didn't want it to sit in a box til I got home to get it sized (we were on vacation), so I wore it on my middle finger until we got home.
Sizing is a quick process but check with your jeweler to see how they size it. If they have someone come in or if they send it out. It is often recommended that if they are sending it out to get the ring appraised first. Also, if they send it away you could be without it for longer.
My sizing was in-house, but since I didn't know what day the goldsmith was coming in, we dropped it off to early and I was without it for a week - talk about separation anxiety! I really missed it!
